Luke 1:67-80

His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has come to his people and redeemed them.
He has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David
(as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),
salvation from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us—
to show mercy to our ancestors
and to remember his holy covenant,
the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
to rescue us from the hand of our enemies,
and to enable us to serve him without fear
in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.

And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;
for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,
to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.

Jesus Christ has come to redeem us.

Redemption is one of the most important and meaningful words in the Bible. It is synonymous with salvation.

Redemption is a Biblical term that every believer in Jesus Christ must understand correctly, it is the center of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Redemption is his life and work. We must understand that Christ came to redeem and save what was lost … (Luke 19:10) We were lost, You and I, with no hope of salvation, completely lost. But Christ changed that dark picture of our lives by coming to this world as a Glorious Redeemer. As someone would say: A great sinner needs a Great Savior. Christ paid the full price demanded by God’s justice to redeem us, rescue us and grant us what no religion can give, Salvation by Grace, Eternal life. Every day we need Rescue, every day we fight with sin and many times we fall defeated by Him, but Christ our Redeemer raises us, rescues us because we are no longer of this world but of Christ.

There is no word, text or sentence that can define such an incredible love. There are no verses that can help poets, any word would be incomplete.

Jesus Christ our Redeemer is the greatest person who has stepped on this planet. Immanuel, God with us, the son of man. The only one who has a name over every name. Amazing, Victorious, Alpha and Omega. Glorious, it is the reason for our existence. Teacher par excellence. The angels prostrate themselves before his glory. He is deserving of the best praise; He is our hope. He overcame death and on the third day Christ the Risen One gave us life and through Him we live today.

Jesus Christ is the greatest leader ever, the humblest king you have ever met. By Him we are free to love and obey the truth; we are free to serve under the only correct motivation, Love.

Friend if you need to be raised, if you need to be rescued, if your soul is imprisoned of sins, or if your conscience blames you for the mistakes of the past, let me tell you that Christ wants to rescue you so that you are free and enjoy life and have a new purpose.

He waits for you every morning and every night. Do not hesitate to say, Lord help!

The gospel of Jesus Christ is total help for total need. The prophecy of that time was fulfilled, Jesus Christ is with us today.
