Welcome and Announcements
Call to Worship: (based on Ephesians 3:18-19)
One: O God, by your power may we, with all the saints, comprehend the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that we may be filled with your fullness.
All: Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you and worthily magnify your holy name through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
One: Let us worship Him!
FINALLY FREE / NO ONE IN HIS GRAVE
Prayer of Confession & Assurance of Pardon (based on Psalm 51:10-12)
One: Merciful God, you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you. We humbly confess our sins and ask your mercy. We have not loved you with a pure heart, nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not done justice, loved kindness, or walked humbly with you, our God. Have mercy on us, O God, in your loving-kindness. In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin.
All: Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Do not cast us from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation and sustain us with your bountiful Spirit through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
One: Hallelujah! Praise be to the One who hears our cries and forgives all our sin!
All: Hallelujah! In Christ Jesus, we are forgiven and made righteous!
