With it being Clergy Appreciation Month, I’ve been thinking about how much I appreciate Billy and Scott. Psalm 133:1 talks about how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity, and truly it is. These brothers and the unity we enjoy is a huge blessing to me and this congregation. We are different, but so complementary. I love that they work hard, take initiative and communicate well.

What I particularly appreciate about Billy is the way he invests in our youth and university students. I love the way Billy has never met a stranger and how he naturally connects with people. Billy’s heart for the Lord and evangelism are infectious.

What I particularly appreciate about Scott is his care and compassion. Scott sees and anticipates needs. He has a wonderful gift of organizing systems to make sure people are cared for, all with a personal touch. I also love Scott’s passion for the lost. Both in terms of caring for people through local missions and pushing for church planting, Scott is on the lookout for lost sheep.

Truly these brothers are some of God’s greatest gifts to me and to us, and I thank and praise the Lord for them.
