Vanessa coordinates our children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church programs, equips and encourages volunteers, and develops creative programs to enhance our children’s and family ministry. She finds joy watching children become involved in the life of the church and thrive as disciples of Jesus. She is a “Double-Duke” with both a bachelor’s in mass communication and a master’s of education from JMU.
Vanessa and her husband John have four children. In addition to time with family and working with children, Vanessa enjoys seeking Christ in His Word, participating in First Pres small groups, reading good fiction and theology, and participating in hobbies including graphic design and 3D printing.
