The First Pres. elders are considering a proposal that would add the role of deacons to our leadership structure. Following the Biblical model we find in Acts 6 and 1 Timothy 3, deacons would assist in the church’s care and compassion ministries by working closely with (and being part of) two standing committees – Congregational Care and Local Missions.
