The Evangelism Committee is active in establishing effective means of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ within Rockingham County. This website is an example of a recent project designed to provide information about our Congregation, its beliefs and its ministry. Evangelism Projects
- Visitor Information Station: This is a booth set up and manned by our Committee in the entrance hallway. It includes a flat screen TV showing continual series of flash screens on new ministries within our congregation.
- Visitor Follow-up: The Court Square Couriers follow-up first time visitors with a short visit during the week following their worship attendance. They hand carry our information packet, answer questions and invite the visitors to continue exploring our ministry.
- Court Square 101: All members who wish to become members are required to take this class. It is normally taught on the third Wednesday night of each month (except August) at 6:45 pm. Participants are invited to our monthly Fellowship Dinner at 5:00 pm on the same evening. Our committee will pay for your meal. Please call the church office to let us know you are coming.
- Evangelism Training: This training is presented by one or more members of our Committee or by a staff member as needed.
- Advertising: The committee develops and oversees our Newspaper, Television and New Resident, and Targeted Mass Mail Advertising.
We Contribute Funding for the Following Organizations:
- Weekday Religious Education, a County wide program providing voluntary religious education for school children.
